Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at LFA - ezine Dec 2006

Set yourself up for success in 2007

"A Big thank you to all of you for your support this year. Wishing you a  Merry  Christmas and a Happy New Year"

Special offer for all 'ezine-ers'

We often set impossible goals for a day like learn ten words a day and then beat ourselves up when it becomes impossible.

Much better to say “By the inch it’s a synch &   By the yard it’s hard “

Apply this to other areas of your life

Have you planned your New Year revolutions? No it is not a typo! What changes are you going to make this year - WHAT NEW DIRECTIONS WILL YOU TAKE?

Revolution:

~ a sudden, radical, or complete change

~ a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something

~ a change of paradigm

It gives food for thought doesn’t it?

NEW FOR 2007

We have two new courses coming soon, at least one game, more cards and of course the booklets to go with the cards and activity booklets to go with the CDs to make learning easier and more fun

If, like me, you feel that 2006 has gone past really quickly then you are not alone.

LFA has had a good year with  highly successful courses with Spice and more to come. Look at the Spice site They are a wonderful organisation and walk their talk of “Variety is the spice of life” www.spiceuk.com We have also worked with businesses and hotels.. Spanish is still the top language but increasingly French & Italian are making a comeback.  Looking into 2007 it promises to be our best year ever. .

Here are some places to go to help with language learning and promotion

 CILT  www.cilt.org.uk

 RLN  www.rln-westmidlands.com

What do these letters stand for?

The first person to let me know by Jan first gets a FREE pack of cards.

Let’s have some fun with anagrams:-   E.g., Parliament is an anagram of 'partial men.)  Change the following into words:-

 1] raglan fuels log[3]    2] lager inn[1]   3] rang me[1]

4] has spin[1]   5] gas me[1]

They are all words relevant to the e-zine.

Have fun!

The first person with all of them correct by January first gets a pack of cards.

Happy News

Just recently I received a Newsletter from a charity called SURF. This helps women in Rwanda   to rebuild their lives.

Questions: - What three languages are spoken in Rwanda ?

How do you say Happy Christmas in those languages?

Send me an e-mail with the answers to those questions. The first person to do this by December 31st will receive 3 CDs [1, 2, 3.] and a pack of cards.

With the newsletter was a catalogue called the Good Gifts catalogue.  www.goodgifts.org

Do go and look at this. I have decided to contribute to one or two  instead of sending Cards so I have e-mailed my business associates and friends. For every one who replies I will put a sum towards a purchase from this catalogue. I have chosen, Teaching a woman to read and Protect a penguin. Have a look at those at least.
