"Expectation shapes outcome. " Read that again and again. It can be applied to all areas of your life, not just languages. Reach for the Stars!! Expect to be able to learn your vocabulary easily and your mind will direct you towards the methods that are best for you. Your brain is wired for languages so expect to be able to learn. Saying “I can’t” becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Once a positive learning attitude is adopted motivation increases. Learning takes place at both conscious and unconscious levels. We are extremely good in this country at putting ourselves down. “I’m no good at languages” people say forgetting that they already speak one [their own] very well.
