Expect to be able to learn your vocabulary easily and your mind will direct you towards the methods that are best for you.
Your brain is wired for languages so expect to be able to learn. Saying “I can’t” becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Once a positive learning attitude is adopted motivation increases. Learning takes place at both conscious and unconscious levels.
Say constantly to yourself “I can” and see what happens. Go on, reach for the stars!

I have been out and about recently giving talks in schools to staff, parents and pupils about languages. I love doing this as I enjoy meeting people and assisting them in
understanding how languages can help them. So many people ask “Why learn a language?” - it is one of the best brain boosters there is.
We are extremely good in this country at putting ourselves down. “I’m no good at languages” people say forgetting that they already speak one [their own] very well. Then there are the old chestnuts “I haven’t got time” - at LFA we can give you the basics in a very short space of time - and “But every one speaks English” - Actually it is a very small percentage of the total world population that speaks English. Buy a pack of prompt cards to start you off. You will have fun and learn easily the basics of one of three languages - or all three! When you buy them ask for the free leaflet “The ten top benefits of learning a language.”
