LANGUAGE LEARNING TESTIMONIALS
In language learning as in
any other field it's actual results that matter. Read
below the testimonials of just a few of our happy clients
who have proven that "Learning Through Laughter"
really works!
Hola Anne,
Que tal. I'm delighted to say I received an A in my GCSE Spanish and have just started my AS course.
I promised a review of "Listen and Learn Spanish 1", sorry it's taken so long, but here it is.
"Listen and Learn Spanish 1" really helped my preparation for my GCSE Spanish oral exam. The prose is continuous, easy to listen to and understand, and opened up my brain to conversational Spanish.
I studied my GCSE Spanish in 9 months, and I had found the oral and listening elements of the course hard to conquer. Listen and Learn Spanish 1 gave me the confidence to believe anything is possible, and I am now the proud owner of a GCSE Spanish certificate with "A" stamped on it. I have enrolled onto an A Level course, and I am loving the challenge.
Thank you Languages for All.

Just returned from Spain - I did really well with my Spanish and was even complimented by a couple of people in Spanish bars. Everyone understood and my practice with numbers really paid off, I knew every amount I was asked for and even counted out my money in Spanish.
In fact a couple of English people asked me to help. I was much more confident especially since no-one spoke much English.
Thanks
Jan Wright
Dear Anne
Hope all is well and you are enjoying your break from us!! I know you have a good sense of humour so I thought you would laugh at this...
We were in France a couple of weeks ago and Dave and I had an early morning visitor - it was a bat circling over our bed at 5.45am. It had come home to roost (our loft), came into our bedroom via the ceiling (there is a bit missing because of our new windows and the wood has not been replaced yet) obviously it had lost its way. Dave said he felt uneasy with the bat circling our bed, so he decided to make an early cuppa. I said as I pulled the covers close under my chin .... I fancy a cuppa too.
Later that day, I was explaining to my neighbour who we had only just met the day before...that we had 'une racquet voler dans ma chambre.... ' she was very polite and said it could not be possible..I insisted...oui, oui, c'est vrai,, c'est vrai.... after a while, we were getting no where, I looked up 'bat" in the dictionary and realised I had looked at the wrong line for 'bat' - la batte - bat for cricket/rounders, la racquet - bat for table tennis and la chauve-souris- animal !!
Well, regardless of the language barrier, we had a jolly good laugh about the mix up, we are now firm friends. I could just imagine a table tennis bat circling my head..... I will laugh about this for years to come...
I now know I will never forget the word for bat.
See you soon
Sandra
Hi Anne,
Sure thing, I think that the story goes something like this. Are you sitting comfortably, then I'll begin ......
A friend of mine bought an apartment on the Costa Del Sol. Being a builder (and a bit of a rough diamond) he soon found that there was no real need to learn to speak Spanish. When I asked him why, his reply was typical. "You don't need to learn Spanish, they all speak English and most of the locals are ex-pats anyway"
So imagine my enjoyment when a group of us lads went to my friends place for a "long weekend". On the Saturday night, we were waiting at a Taxi rank for a taxi and none were coming by at all. I asked my mate to phone the taxi company that he usually uses. "What taxi company?" he laughed "How am I going to ask for a taxi round here?" I reached for my mobile, phoned the Taxi Company (from the number on the Taxi Rank) and spoke to the operator to order two taxi's for 5 minutes time. I spoke in a little broken, but certainly understandable Spanish. When I finished the call, my friends laughed and jeered at me. For the whole of the next 5 minutes, they thought that I had been making the whole thing up. But right on time, two taxi's turned up and off we went.
YES !
The laughing soon stopped. Nice to get one back on them, isn't it ?
So, I reckon that the few weeks I have spent with Learning through laughter has been time and money really well spent. Thank you very much, Anne!
Kind regards,
Alastair

I have to say that I have found it really useful to listen to the Spanish audio CD. In the beginning I could only understand a proportion of it but as I listen more and more I find that I understand more and pick up useful phrases. I suppose that is how young children learn a language naturally.
Saludos
Richard
I find that learning Spanish with Languages For All is a friendly and informal way of learning.
When I travel to Spain now I feel confident using the language, and it makes my holidays more enjoyable.
